I I think going against the stream of belief that sex is something to be so strived for, and to hold it over ourselves (putting the *you know what* on a pedestal) as not being cool is actually a pretty cool thing. You can say what you want about Ms. Gaga, but you can’t say that she doesn’t have a lot of fans. If only a small percentage of them (young or old) takes her views to heart, well, I tend think that it’s a pretty good thing.
Here’s what she has to say:
I’m single right now and I’ve chosen to be single because I don’t have the time to get to know anybody. So it’s OK not to have sex, it’s OK to get to know people. I’m celibate, celibacy’s fine.
I remember the cool girls when I was growing up. Everyone started to have sex. But it’s not really cool any more to have sex all the time. It’s cooler to be strong and independent.
